We have been in discussions with the Town over this past week as they are changing their COVID-19 screening procedures. Previously swimmers were asked to attest to a series of screening questions, given that the province is well into a second stage. This process will now be more robust and specific for tracking purposes.
Effective Monday, November 16th swimmers will be required to do an on-line screening check in – either via the weblink Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville Screening & Contact Tracingor by QR code (below) on the day of the activity and prior to entering the facility so that it is recorded through the Town’s online tracking portal. We have confirmed that for the A Group that swim twice on Tuesdays, they will only need to complete this before the morning workout – they will not have to repeat it before the afternoon workout.
The form asks for a name – this needs to be the swimmer’s name, it also requires an email address, as our swimmers are minors this needs to be a parents email address.
Once you complete the questions you will receive a confirmation email indicating you have completed the screening - KEEP THIS MESSAGE HANDY - you will need to show the confirmation to Coach Nick or Coach Tori to be allowed into the facility. If you do not have this you will not be able to swim.
If your swimmer does not have a cellphone, or does not bring it to the pool, you may print a copy of the confirmation email for them to bring with them.
Your completed COVID-19 screening and contact information will only be:
maintained for 30 days; and
disclosed to a medical officer of health or an inspector under the Health Protection and Promotion Act by request for the purpose specified in Section 2 of the Act or as otherwise required by law.
