Welcome to the New 2023 - 2024 Season from your Head Coach Konstantin

Konstantin Danailov

Dear Swimmers and Parents,

I’m glad to have been a part of your successful summer training camp for 8 weeks. That’s a remarkable achievement that deserves recognition and praise.

You should be proud of yourself for working hard and improving your swimming skills and fitness. You have shown dedication, discipline, and perseverance in the pool and on the track. You have also made new friends and had fun along the way.

You have prepared yourself well for the new competitive swim season, which will start in September. I’m sure you will continue to excel and enjoy the sport of swimming. Congratulations on completing the summer training camp! You are awesome!

Now I wish to welcome you to the new competitive swim season. Whether you are a new or returning swimmer, I am excited to have you on our team and look forward to working with you.

The new season will bring new challenges and opportunities for us as a team and as individuals. We will face tough competition, rigorous training, and high expectations. But we will also have fun, make friends, and achieve our goals.

As your head coach, I have a vision for our team that I want to share with you. My vision is to create a positive and supportive environment where every swimmer can reach their full potential and enjoy the sport of swimming. To achieve this vision, I need your help and commitment.

Here are some of the things that I expect from you as a swimmer:

  • Be respectful. Respect yourself, your teammates, your coaches, your opponents, and the officials. Follow the rules and regulations of the club and the sport. Be polite and courteous to everyone.
  • Be responsible. Take responsibility for your own actions and decisions. Be punctual and prepared for every practice and meet. Communicate with your coaches and parents if you have any issues or concerns.
  • Be dedicated. Dedicate yourself to your swimming goals and the team’s goals. Train hard and smart every day. Listen to your coaches and follow their instructions. Give your best effort in every practice and meet.
  • Be supportive. Support your teammates in and out of the pool. Encourage them, cheer for them, and help them when they need it. Celebrate their successes and comfort them when they fail.
  • Be positive. Have a positive attitude towards yourself, your teammates, your coaches, and your swimming. Believe in yourself and your abilities. Focus on what you can control and not on what you can’t. Learn from your mistakes and move on.

As your head coach, I also want to tell you what you can expect from me as a coach:

  • Be knowledgeable. I will provide you with the best coaching possible based on my knowledge and experience. I will design training programs that suit your needs and abilities. I will teach you proper technique, strategy, and tactics.
  • Be supportive. I will support you in achieving your swimming goals and personal goals. I will provide you with constructive feedback and praise when appropriate. I will help you overcome any challenges or difficulties that you may face.
  • Be fair. I will treat you fairly and equally regardless of your age, gender, ability, or background. I will give you equal opportunities to train, compete, and improve. I will respect your opinions and preferences.
  • Be fun. I will make sure that you have fun while swimming. I will create a fun and engaging atmosphere at practices and meets. I will use creative and varied workouts to keep you interested and motivated.

I hope this message gives you an idea of what our team is all about and what we can achieve together this season.

I can’t wait to see you all at the pool soon.

Your Head Coach
