Our Competitive Groups
A Group
- Elite swimmers who are striving for Provincial and National levels of swimming
- The training and expectations for this group is relevant to gaining the necessary conditioning and strength to compete at the highest level
- Attendance is mandatory and swimmers are asked to put a high degree of effort and determination into their training in order to achieve this level of competitiveness
- Swimmers train 6 times per week for 90-minute sessions in the water and a dryland session
- Swimmers are expected to attend competitive meets
B Group
- The training and expectations for this group is relevant to gaining the necessary conditioning and strength to compete at the highest level
- Attendance is mandatory and swimmers are asked to put a high degree of effort and determination into their training in order to achieve this level of competitiveness
- Swimmers train 5 times per week for 60 or 90-minute sessions in the water and a dryland session
- Swimmers are expected to attend competitive meets
Gold Group
- Swimmers will continue their learning of the stroke skills with the addition of training skills and preparation for swim meets
- Swimmers are selected for this group based on their dedication, commitment and attitude
- Swimmers train 3 times per week for 90-minute session in the water and a dryland session
- Attendance is mandatory as well to achieve success, but realize that the young athlete may also be involved in other sport activities
- Swimmers are expected to attend competitive meets
Silver Group
- Swimmers must be able to swim 8 lengths of the pool comfortably in Freestyle, Back and Breaststroke, efficient dive into the deep end and somersault in water
- This program further develops each skill required for competitive swimming
- Swimmers train 3 times for 60-minute sessions
- Swimmers are expected to attend competitive meets
